This course is for those that could benefit from some guidance on learning some specifics about nutrition and sports performance, practicing healthy nutrition choices in light of their athletic schedules, as well as creating their own recipes with hands on food items provided (we will not be “cooking” however, blenders, knives, cutting correctly, creating recipes to take home may be used). You will receive a book of recipes and tips! Topics like electrolytes, macro and micro nutrients, the female triad, savvy snacks, and various diets (vegan etc) will be covered in an “elementary type form for best understanding.” We will also include interactive topics like recovery methods (and doing some like mobility), Physical Attributes- strength/injury prevention and exercises to include in any sport, Mental Skills- motivation/resilience/focus, Training load Management and more.
Our mission is to create a nurturing and enriching environment where children can explore, grow, and have a blast while learning valuable life lessons through the power of athletics.
